Why go
Built 1892–1900, this is JB's most beautiful building: a striking Victorian-Moorish hybrid with white stucco, blue tile accents and four clock-tower-like minarets. The hilltop terrace gives sweeping views across the Straits to Singapore.
Free to visit. Non-Muslims are typically not admitted to the prayer hall — the exterior and grounds are the main draw. Visitors are generally welcome Sat–Thu outside prayer times; avoid Friday noon prayers and dress modestly (robes sometimes provided).
